Dinosaurs

My son (4) loves dinosaurs, so we went searching. Found this and it has very simple activities that he can do with little effort.

on the BBC...

The BBC in the UK have got some excellent resources on their site.

In The Human Body section there are various interactive activities about the organs, muscles, skeleton, nervous system and puberty. I highly recommend the senses challenge.

Another section, which probably couldn't be used so much as a resource, but for your own intrest is Brain Sex. Although the name sounds a bit rude, it isn't. It actually takes you through a sequence of tests to determine feminimity and masculinity. I found it rather interesting!

Breathing Earth

I found this one incredibly interesting!

Breathing earth shows birth and death rates and the amount of gas emmisions each country puts into the atmosphere. It shows you everything in real time. Since I have started writing this blog, in the world, 500 people have been born, 200 people have died, and 90,000 tonnes of Co2 have been emitted.

Did you know in Australia, 1000 tonnes of Co2 are emitted every 1 minute, 30 seconds? Somebody dies every 3 minutes and 24 seconds, and somebody is born every 2 minutes and 6 seconds!

That's real food for thought: Breathing Earth

Vinegar is a liquid produced from the fermentation of ethanol in a process that yields its key ingredient, acetic acid. Ninety percent of American Households buy vinegar. The 4 major uses are for salads, as cooking ingredients, pickling and home canning.

Anyone remember the Vinegar + Bi carb soda trick? Great to make volcanoes out of!

This website contains 62 different uses for vinegar. I didn't know it could be so useful. Perhaps you could modify it to use in your classroom? I know there's a few there I'm definately going to try!
